Oil Spill Kits are a Legal Requirement

In Australia, it’s a legal requirement under Section 357 of the Model WHS Regulation for organisations to provide the means to contain spills that may occur in any part of the workplace. Also, section 9 of the Australian Standard AS 1940 recommends the use of hydrocarbon spill kits to manage above ground leaks and spills.

If your organisation uses, handles, or stores hydrocarbons, feel free to contact Storemasta on 1300 134 223 to discuss your solvent spill kit requirements.

Why does oil and fuel require a dedicated Spill Kit?

The Storemasta range of Oil & Fuel Spill Kits are designed for the cleaning up and containment of hydrocarbons in an aquatic environment. The hydrophobic absorbents soak up the oil or fuel, while repelling water, so that you can ensure that all traces of Class 3 chemicals are dealt with.

What sizes are Oil & Fuel Spill Kits?

Storemasta offers a range of sizes in Oil & Spill Kits with options from 25L bags (absorbing up to 15L) to 240L wheelie bin kits (absorbing up to 125L).

How do you use Floor Sweep?

Floor Sweep is a convenient sorbent that is designed for rapid absorption of larger spills. Simply contain the spill, generously scatter Floor Sweep over the area starting from the outer edge and working inwards. Use a stiff broom to sweep back and forth until the chemical is absorbed. Collect and dispose of the waste as per your local waste management guidelines.
